The FUTURE Team Challenge Course

WHAT is a Team Challenge Course?

The Team Challenge Course is a custom high ropes course structure designed to enhance the total team experience of the adventure program.

Designed for total team involvement, it combines the team development concepts of the low ropes course with the adventure and confidence building of the high challenge course.  All course components are designed for use with 2 to 8 participants at the same time.  Course components focus on team development, creative problem solving, and communication.
These aspects of the Team Challenge Course are the heart of Pocono Plateau’s Adventure Program ministry.
WHY a Team Challenge Course?
1. Pocono Plateau’s current courses are nearing retirement.  All of our courses (except for the zip line) use trees which are nearing the end of their life expectancy for use as rope courses.
2. The current challenge course market in the Pocono area is becoming saturated with pay-for-play courses similar to our older individual courses.
3. The new Team Challenge Course would be unique to the region.  Therefore, Pocono Plateau could provide exclusive high rope experiences.
   • A continuation of our outstanding Adventure Program ministry.
   • New program opportunities for our current constituents
(i.e. campers, retreat and day guests).
   • Increase in revenue with the potential for new clientele,
especially corporate groups as the course is unique to the area.
FUNDING the Project:

Signature Research Inc., a leader of challenge course facilitation in the nation, is the builder of the course.  The budget for the construction of the course $180,000.

The camp has been blessed by a Matching Gift Challenge from East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church of $75,000.

For every dollar donated towards the course, East Stroudsburg UMC will match donations dollar-for-dollar up to $75,000.  This substantial gift greatly reduces the necessary contributions for the project.

We are looking for partners who believe in the ministry of Pocono Plateau to help support this project!  The goal is to reaise the funds by early 2019 to begin construction in the spring.  We are asking for your support (individuals, churches, organizatioins, and businesses) in making this new course a reality.

Please prayerfully consider contributing toward our new Team Challenge Course.

Donations are accepted by mail,        phone or online.
