#5 Spend the day being physically active - Camp provides a wonderful opportunity for kids to get outside and move: running, swimming, climbing!
#4 Unplug from technology - Without technology, kids rediscover their creative powers and engage the real world-real people, real activities, real emotions.
#3 Learn social skills - Coming to camp means joining a close-knit community where everyone must agree to cooperate and respect each other.
#2 Grow more independent - Camp is the perfect place for kids to practice making decisions for themselves in a safe and caring environment.
#1 Transformed lives - At camp, kids take a break from the craziness of their regular routine allowing them to think about their future, evaluate unhealthy patterns and discover the truth that God loves them and has an amazing plan for their lives.
We offer an online "Photo Gallery" that's updated daily. Each day's entry also includes a written summary of what campers have done over the previous day. Each day's update is typically posted at 5 pm.
Please note that we can't guarantee that every camper will be included in this gallery on a daily basis, but there is a good chance that you will be able to see your child at some time during the week.
Information on how to access the photo page will be emailed to parents closer to the start of your campers week. Enter Photo Gallery.
You have the option of sending an e-mail message which we will print (daily at noon) and hand out during mail call, sending a letter in the mail, or placing a phone call in case of emergency (24-hours a day).
E-mail: mycamper@poconoplateau.org
Please include your camper's full name, and the camp name or number in the subject of your email. For example, a camper named Jane Doe at Youth Camp should be sent email with a subject of: Jane Doe, Youth Camp
